About this course

Leadership & Building is the course for the people who build things and the people who run the teams that build things. It covers what happens at the seam between operator and team — culture that compounds, decisions under pressure, and the identity work of staying intact while doing the role.

The three micro-courses are deliberately narrower than ‘leadership in general.’ They cover culture and team cohesion (design the DNA, sequence the early wins, the rituals that hold a team together under load); decisions under pressure (transparency as a tool, mapping competing trade-offs, trust); and founder resilience (separating self from role, processing identity-level adversity, the long arc). The tone is honest about cost — most founder/operator books soft-pedal it.

If you're early in a build, the culture micro-course is the highest-leverage. If you're mid-build and increasingly making calls under uncertainty, decisions under pressure. If you're tired in a way that has stopped responding to weekends, the founder resilience micro-course.

Money content here is educational; see the financial disclaimer. The mental-health framing in the founder resilience micro-course is also educational and not a substitute for qualified support.

Who this course is for

  • Operators leading a team of 3-50 people.
  • First-time founders who realise the hard part isn't the product.
  • Heads-of running a function inside a larger company who want a sharper management vocabulary.
  • Founders who haven't been on holiday in years and are starting to notice.

Common problems this course helps with

  • “My team is competent and somehow not aligned.”
  • “I make decisions fast but lose people in the explanation.”
  • “I've absorbed too much of the company's pressure as my own.”
  • “Good people are leaving and I don't know why.”
  • “I can't tell the role from the person any more.”

FAQ

Where should I start?
Culture and Team Cohesion if you're early; Decisions Under Pressure if you're mid-build and increasingly tired of the volume of calls; Founder Resilience if you're close to burnout.
Is this only for founders?
No. Most of the material applies to anyone running a team. Founders get more from the resilience micro-course because the identity overlap is sharper, but the principles transfer.
Is this an MBA replacement?
No. It complements rather than substitutes. We focus on the leadership and identity layer, not finance / strategy / operations content covered better by other places.
